Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Shinso website at www.shinso.cn and to our newsletter, contact form and AI-assisted chat features. Where an enterprise customer has signed a separate contract or data processing agreement for procurement, delivery or support, that agreement governs.

If you disagree with any part of this policy, please do not submit personal data — you can still browse all public content on this site.

Information you provide

• Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter;
• Name, company, contact details and message content — when you use the contact form or the AI-assisted chat.

Information generated when you visit

• IP address — used only for security and rate limiting, stored in hashed form, never to identify you;
• Access records — pages visited, timestamps and browser user agent, used for site operations and content improvement;
• Essential local storage — language preference and chat session identifiers, see “Cookies and local storage” below.

What we do not collect

We do not collect government ID numbers, bank card data or biometric data, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

• Newsletters — sending the AI and information security digest and industry content to the address you subscribed with;
• Product and event updates — telling you about Shinso products, solutions, training and events (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• Answering your enquiries — handling contact form messages, chat conversations and support requests;
• Security and abuse prevention — detecting abnormal requests and protecting the site and its users;
• Improving content and products — understanding, in aggregate and de-identified form, which content is useful.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

After subscribing, we usually send one email per business day. You can unsubscribe with one click using the link at the foot of every email, by visiting the unsubscribe page and entering your address, or by simply replying to any of our emails. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and no further newsletter emails will be sent to you.

About click statistics: to judge which content is genuinely useful, we count how many times each link in an email is clicked (links route through our domain before reaching the original article, and the counts are used only for content improvement). We currently do not use read receipts or tracking pixels, and we do not associate clicks with any individual.

The subscriber list is used only to email the subscriber. If you believe you were added by mistake, contact us and we will remove you.

How long we keep data

• Subscriber email addresses — until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only the unsubscribe status, so we do not email you again; it is not used for anything else.
• Contact form and chat records — normally no longer than 24 months, so we can follow up on your enquiry.
• Access and security logs — normally no longer than 6 months.

How we protect it

Our servers are located in mainland China. We use encrypted transport, access controls and role-based permissions in our admin console (each role can only see the data its work requires). No internet transmission or storage can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

We do not disclose your personal data except in these cases:

• Necessary to deliver the service — for example an email service provider that transmits the newsletter, processing only what delivery requires;
• Required by law — where laws, regulations or a competent court or regulator compels disclosure;
• With your explicit consent.

You can contact us by email to exercise the following rights:

• Access and correction — find out whether we hold your data and correct anything inaccurate;
• Deletion — ask us to delete your email address, message or chat records (except the unsubscribe status, as explained above);
• Unsubscribe and withdraw consent — stop receiving marketing email at any time;
• Explanation — ask us to explain how we handle personal data.

Write to the address below, or simply reply to any of our emails. We normally respond within 15 business days. To protect your data, we may first need to verify that you are the owner of that address.

We use a small amount of essential browser storage for language preference, chat session identity and admin sign-in state. It is not used for cross-site tracking or advertising.

This site currently contains no third-party advertising or behavioural tracking code. If we introduce third-party analytics in the future, we will update this policy and describe its purpose and how to disable it.

We may update this policy as our business and applicable regulations change; the “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change accordingly. If a change materially affects your rights, we will announce it on the site or in our newsletter.
